DeFi
Financial services built as open smart contracts rather than firms.
DeFi covers lending, trading, derivatives and asset management implemented as contracts anyone can call. It removes the intermediary and its discretion, and replaces credit risk with contract risk, oracle risk and governance risk. Those are different risks, not fewer.
