How the BTC to INR Converter works

The converter multiplies your BTC amount by the current BTC/INR market rate, or divides in the other direction. The rate comes from the market data provider configured in the plugin settings and is cached briefly, so it is a spot reference rather than an executable quote — the price you actually get on an exchange includes spread and fees.

Formula

  • INR value = BTC amount × rate
  • BTC value = INR amount ÷ rate

Frequently asked questions

How often does the BTC/INR rate update?

The rate is fetched from the configured market data provider and cached for a short window set in the plugin settings — 60 seconds by default. The page shows the exact time the rate was fetched.

Can I convert in both directions?

Yes. Use the direction control to switch between the two, and the amount field changes meaning accordingly.

Why is the rate different from my exchange?

Exchanges quote their own order book and add spread and fees. This rate is a market reference price, so small differences are normal.

What happens if market data is unavailable?

The page says so plainly instead of showing an invented number, and you can still type a rate manually to run the conversion.

Does the rupee rate include Indian taxes?

No. The converter shows a market rate only. Indian crypto transactions carry their own tax treatment, including TDS on transfers, which is applied by your exchange and is not modelled here.
