I don’t have a lot of experience with the sidereal, but I have an amazing friend named Dr. Alan. Dr. Alan is a scientist, a former college professor, and a science fiction writer. He teaches a class on the sidereal, and I’ve been reading his blog on the topic for months now.

The sidereal is a term coined by the French mathematician Blaise Pascal in his 1763 work, Le Miroir de Pascal. It is a form of visual acuity that works in a circle, so you can see what is in your field of vision from any point in the universe. Pascal was trying to explain how light came to be as it did.

The other sidereal is the most obvious example of a world-building mechanic: a robot that moves around a set of buildings. You can see that the buildings are built to resemble a robot, but they’re not a robot.

In reality, the two are so different that they create very different effects on our lives. The time dilation machine’s effects on time travel are very slight. Its effects on time is the same as the ordinary time when it travels through space and time, but through the time dilation machine.
